Stacking & Stocking | Winter

So as you all are very much aware this winter doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and whilst I would love to be stocking up on SS15 clothes (even though I kind of am) it all seems a bit far fetched. So here's to "enjoying" the winter weather whilst it lasts. This is part of my haul for winter clothing, trying to ensure I have a versatile range of coats (as needed) and making sure there are enough jumpers, tops and turtlenecks for me to pick and mix with. Obviously footwear comprises of nothing but black boots.! From the thigh highs to the ankle boots. Literally there's nothing better for this weather. Keeping accessories to a minimum and leaving the clothes to do the talking.

Some of my posts to come will show me styling some of these pieces clearer, displaying how I'll be dressing and defo layering this winter. Keeping the colours neutral and seasonal, but playing with textures lengths and thickness/material; I wouldn't call it the essentials as such but it is definitely doing me justice.

AWOL | Life update

So I'm you know like checking on my blog and seeing that woah wait it's been almost a month since I last posted I know not cool right. Don't get bored of me yet guys, honestly I've just been hibernating. Where's Rachel been? Everywhere! Like as you can imagine balancing work and studying is already a myth and to be honest it's really hard to find someone willing to take photos, these days I'm behind the camera shooting for others. BUT ANYWAY. Long story short even in these long cold dark days I'll be back. It's so cliche to say but literally stay tuned y'all theres some goodies coming from me to you oh so very soon.

Oh side note below are some pics from a very impromptu night out, I had so much fun, let my hair down literally and even managed to win at bowling booyah.! Casual outfit as I didn't know what was planned and yeah messy hair after some hardcore games loool.

Gentlemen & Gentlemen

 

I love menswear, you may not see me designing anything as such, but I can definitely appreciate great style and love seeing a guy look good. Luckily for guys they don't usually have to do a lot to look at least decent, but some style is just a lot more noticeable than others. There's not always a lot to accessorise with so the focus is usually very much on the actual clothing. I say menswear has seriously expanded and some trends really added to what guys feel comfortable wearing. You have the likes of A$AP Rocky and Kanye setting pace for other guys out there.
Style is always 'in opinion' I had fun doing these shots and putting together these two outfits. The slideshow shows so more shots done on the day.

Red Hot Nights

I feel like this needs a disclaimer of some sort but I can't think of one so yeah. Anyway hey y'all last day of 2014 and who better to have shared it with than my boothangs. You know when you just want to chill but not be chilly especially in this damn weather nobody has time to be going around.

It was so hot there, like the heating system deserves a round of applause, didn't feel the cold at all. So yeah nice little Shisha place might have to be the new spot and it wasn't pricy at all. Food isn't great but the desserts and shakes are lovely. I was feeling very 90's oriental hence the hair, if not why not, weave doesn't always permit such flexibility; natural hair gang. I swear if the lights were any brighter would have felt like Amsterdam all over again (XXX).

2015 | First

The new year always gives everyone that new year kick, you know that motivation that you hope will last the year. Well I know a lot of people are aiming high so here's to a productive and successful year to all. So my people New years eve routine is and always has been church, such a blessed service this year. You know you have to have the 'new year outfit' I had been eyeing this jumper in Zara for ages it was never too pricey originally but you know i just waited it out a little and ended up getting it on sale, awesome! The slit detail and the thickness are just so yum the rest of the outfit just kind of fell in line. I did my own make up.! Not like I don't always, like every day but you know I was proud of the outcome. These lashes mmmm anything that exaggerates my eye shape is a winner. Anyway without going on, loads of pics couldn't help it. Check out the slide for more pics.

New Year, New...

Happy New Year Everybody

New Layout, New website name (well kind of), New posts, New things to share! Everything brand new.

2014 was literally one of the most interesting, eventful and memorable years of my life. I travelled, changed jobs, progressed through uni, made friends, lost friends, passed exams, met new faces, made and found new connections, reached and surpassed goals, grew within myself but best of all I finally started blogging! 

It's more than common now but it's something that I still love doing, y'all can't get rid of me just yet. And oooo have I got some stuff in store for you. Obviously I am to please, new projects are arising, new posts of course, i'll be looking to interact a lot more and stay consistent with the blogging. It hasn't even been a year but i'm real excited for the prospects that lie ahead.
From you guys in the US to my own darlings here in the UK I appreciate anyone and everyone that has supported me in anyway shape and form. You're awesome.!
